fretsonfire.ini
The fretsonfire.ini is a file that contains most of the game parameters, it is created the first time you run Frets On Fire.
The location of this file is different depending of what platform you are using:
Under Windows XP, you will find it in the 'Application Data' folder. Two ways to find it:
- In the Start menu, select 'Run…' and type in: %appdata%/fretsonfire/fretsonfire.ini
- Navigate to: C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\fretsonfire and you will see the fretsonfire.ini file there. The Application Data folder is hidden by default, so you may have turn on showing of hidden files and folders (My Computer > Tools menu > Folder Options > View tab, then choose "Show hidden files and folders").
Under Windows Vista
- In the start menu, either open up 'Run…', or type this directly into the search box and press enter: %appdata%\fretsonfire\fretsonfire.ini
- Navigate to: C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\fretsonfire and you will see the fretsonfire.ini file there. The Application Data folder is hidden by default, so you may have turn on showing of hidden files and folders (My Computer > Tools menu > Folder Options > View tab, then choose "Show hidden files and folders").
Under Linux or Mac Os X, the filepath is: ~/.fretsonfire/fretsonfire.ini
